What we recommend depends on where rodents are getting in and which parts of the home we can safely inspect.
Is proofing the same as trapping?+
No. Trapping deals with rodents already inside. Proofing addresses how they got in. When activity is ongoing, the two may be used together.
Do I still need trapping if the openings are sealed?+
Sometimes. Rodents may still be inside after the openings are sealed. If trapping is needed, we can include it with the job.
How many trap checks are included?+
The number of traps and follow-up visits depends on the activity we find and what is listed in your estimate.
What happens during a rodent entry point inspection?+
We check the roofline, attic, garage and outside of the home for signs of rats or mice and the openings they may be using. We show you what we find and explain the repairs we recommend.
Do you inspect the roof and attic?+
When those areas can be safely accessed, yes. Rooflines, vents, coves, attic spaces and garage-to-attic connections are often important parts of a rodent inspection.
Will you show me the entry points you find?+
Yes. We show you the problem areas we find and use photos when they help explain what needs to be sealed.

Rodent InspectionInspection
The inspection is free, and it is where every job starts. Our inspector checks the attic, roofline, garage, crawlspace when there is one, and the full outside of the home, tracing droppings and runways back to the openings rats and mice are using. He takes photos of what he finds, and the inspection becomes a written estimate with a report and map our crew works from.

Rodent ProofingProofing
Our crew works from the inspector's report and map, sealing every entry point rats and mice are using, and the ones they could use next. We seal with construction grade materials.

Rodent Clean-Up & SanitationClean-Up
Clean-up is its own step, but it happens on the same visit as the proofing, while the crew is already there. Where it is accessible, we remove droppings, nesting material, damaged insulation, plastic vapor barrier, and heat duct insulation, then sanitize and deodorize the areas we cleaned. Damaged materials go back new and up to code, and we protect the inside of the home while we work.

Follow-Up & Trap ChecksFollow-Up
After the proofing, we come back every 3-5 days until there is zero activity. At each visit we check the traps and re-inspect the sealing, looking for any new opening or fresh sign that rats or mice are still moving. Once the traps stay empty and the house stays quiet, we take the traps out and the job is done.
